New Justice League Image; Ezra Miller on the Heroes’ Personalities

Justice League is set to be one of the biggest movie releases of 2017, bringing together the many superheroes of the DC Extended Universe. Zack Snyder is back in the director’s chair following his work on Man of Steel and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, while Ben Affleck will be donning the cowl once more as the Dark Knight, Batman. Despite his fate in BVS, Superman (Henry Cavill) will be resurrected to return in some capacity, whilst Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) will be forced to unite to take on Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds) and his army of Parademons.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that a brand new trailer for Justice League could be right around the corner, after director Snyder crossed paths with a fan and told him the good news. Ahead of that release however, a brand new promotional image for the film has been revealed, showing The Flash, Batman and Wonder Woman gearing up for battle.

The image (see below) was debuted by Entertainment Weekly, along with quotes from Snyder and Miller. Snyder, for his part, said “I’m super happy with the chemistry of my league of justice doers,” while Miller went so far as to offer his own impressions of each individual superhero who’s in the Justice League:

“Flash is Ringo Starr. He annoys everybody, but he doesn’t have any specific beef with anyone. Uncle Fish Curry [Aquaman] is very grumpy. Dad [Batman] gets grumpy too. (He’s had a long life of fighting crime.) Wonder Woman is very considerate, so even though she’s annoyed with the Flash, she’s still very compassionate.”

Miller’s comments are surprisingly revealing, as they open a whole new selection of doors the Justice League movie could go down. Just why Wonder Woman is mad with The Flash and how he’ll continue to irritate the heroes around him hasn’t yet been established, but his goofy character and personality is likely why he’ll quickly get under people’s skin. Snyder’s reveal about how he feels the chemistry of the Justice League team is shaping up is also encouraging, as the heroes will be spending much of their time on the big screen together.

Of course, there’s always the chance that what Snyder thinks is a good thing is actually not what the audience will be hoping for, as his DCEU films have so far been very divisive. However, seeing as Justice League could potentially be the filmmaker’s last DCEU movie (for a while, anyway), here’s to hoping he delivers something special, this time around.

Mortal Kombat Movies Get an Honest Trailer

Video game movies have had a long and uphill road to finding legitimacy over the years. For decades, studios have been trying to figure out the puzzle of taking million dollar properties from consoles to the big screen. There is a literal graveyard of failed attempts with fans of Super Mario Bros, Double Dragon, and Warcraft, wondering why Hollywood can’t get it right.

There has yet to be a movie that truly galvanizes audiences, or one that has found significant success. Continue reading «Mortal Kombat Movies Get an Honest Trailer»

What if Rogue One’s K-2SO Were In EVERY TV Show and Movie?

A key element to any successful blockbuster is to have that one character unexpectedly stand out amidst all the glorious special effects and bombast that generally comes along with huge tentpole releases like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. So far, Lucasfilm and Disney’s trip back to a galaxy far, far away (and even more of a long time ago) has brought a welcome collection of new characters to the already rich Star Wars catalog. Some, like Felicity Jones’ Jyn Erso and Donnie Continue reading «What if Rogue One’s K-2SO Were In EVERY TV Show and Movie?»

Ridley Scott’s now classic sci-fi/horror film, Alien, debuted in 1979, launching an entire franchise. Though Scott hasn’t helmed every installment in the Alien franchise, and there is a fourth sequel in the works with director Neill Blomkamp attached, the veteran of sci-fi Continue reading «Alien: Covenant Photo Teases Mysterious Number Combination»

Avengers: Infinity War Casting Call Confirms Captain Marvel & More

Marvel Studios kicked off Phase 3 in stunning fashion by bringing 12 superheroes together on screen at the same time, resulting in one of the biggest fight sequences in cinema history. Well, if directors Joe and Anthony Russo thought constructing a sequence with that many characters was tough, it is hard to imagine just how difficult a task it will be to bring seemingly every character in the MCU together in Avengers: Infinity War and the Continue reading «Avengers: Infinity War Casting Call Confirms Captain Marvel & More»
